Inspiration is to be found in the everyday experience and the smallest event can often lead to important bodies of work, originating in the narrative but ending up as non-figurative or abstract.
First thing every morning I walk my dogs up and down our adjoining lane - it may be a daily ritual but they and I always find something new.
For the dogs, the interest is at nose level whereas I notice the ground on which I walk, the sky above and everything in between.
Sculptures in this series all originate from those early morning walks.
